You might have gone to the restaurant where you saw a push or pull the gate. If the pull is written on the gate and that gate is one-sided means it can only open in one direction, then no matter how much effort you put in pushing the gate to open, you will fail.

Have you tried pushing a wall?

Did the wall move an inch?

direction is more important than speed

Similarly, there are many people who are directionless in life or going in the wrong direction. So no matter how much effort you put in or how much potential you have, all your efforts will be in vain.

This implies direction is necessary.

Now, ask yourself three questions : –

1. Do you know what you want to become in life?

2. Do you know where you stand right now?

3. Do you know the obstacles that you will face to become what you want to become?

direction is more important than speed

Many people might be knowing the answer to the first question.

Slightly few people might know the answer to the second question.

Very few people might know the answer to all the questions.

If you are in that category who knows the answers to all the questions,

Congratulations, you are ahead of 70% of the people.

If you do not know the answers to these questions, don’t worry.

Now you know the questions you need to ask yourself and by pondering and mindfulness, you will get your answers.

Let me take an instance : There are 2 people Vikram & Betaal.

They have to reach an unknown location from the same location.

Betaal hurriedly departed from that place without thinking anything or asking directions.

Vikram on the other hand took out his phone and went to the location following the directions provided by the navigation.

Who do you think reached first?

Vikram reached first. The reason behind that is because Vikram followed the directions and suitable roadmap to reach the destination whereas Betaal was lost as he was directionless.

This incident shows that direction is more important than speed.

Chanakya tells us one thing if we want to start something new, ask yourself 3 questions:-

1. What is the purpose of your work?

2. What will be the results of starting that work?

3. Shall we be successful if we do that work?

If you have answers to all the 3 questions,

Congratulations, you are on the right path!
